Sommer Fest

The best part of summer, here in Germany has been all the festivals that have been going on in the city and around the small towns and villages. It seems that each town has their own festival. They go all out, and have tons of food, activities for the kids, and music.
Lo just wanted to keep going round and round.
Part of the festival was on fire awareness.  It was fun to see them put out fire, and carry heavy stones, and heavy people.
This is the village centre where they hold a farmers market twice a week. One of my favorite things to do!  Everything is so organic and fresh. It took me a while to get used to going there. My biggest fear, not being able to communicate with them. I am slowly learning the language, and have a couple of words down, but still have a long way to go.
Right across the village city hall, there is a small playground that Lo loves to play at. We go there once a week after I have bought our weekly fruits and veggies. Did I mention that this is all two blocks from our home! I am enjoying living here so far.
Isn't this fire truck really neat?
