Summer 2015 part 2 of 2

We have visitors!!

Our niece Rachel on Mikes side of the family came to visit us in Germany! We were so excited to show her around Europe!

Mike and Rachel went to the USA women game in Germany! They both love soccer, and I am glad that they had so much fun!

We did a couple of days in London, since the tickets were cheap! My dear friend Beverly joined us. We watched a couple of shows, had tea, shopped and did a day trip to Oxford. It was so much fun!

We did show her sights around Germany as well! We love our home area, so we took her to a schloss! It was a beautiful day.
And well as if that was not enough, why not get into the minivan and drive to Italy for the week. Mike took some time off! We hit up Verona first!

This was our view from the hotel that Miked booked us! It was AMAZING!

We had all kinds of deliciousness while on the trip, how many times did we eat gelato!!!
Then we went to Florence! Ugh, we got a pricey ticket for not validating our bus tickets. That sucked, but well its FLORENCE!!! So much beauty and history and art!
Up next was Grandma Bowerbank who made the trip to overlap with Rachel for a couple of day. We did a little day trip to the Aslance Region in France!

My favorite kind of charming little villages, that you can wander and get lost in all day. A little cafe shop, and a french bakery what is there not to love! Ooozing in charm.

Berry picking in our town is one of our favorite summer traditions! We love all the free bites and how fresh it is. The boys eat their weight in berries and cherries before we even pay for them.

As always we try to hit as many summer festivals as we can, the fish festival is Logans favorite! We have been going every year. And we go to the corn maze as well. They do a new maze every year, and the post card map is a great token to keep!
To end the summer break, the boys and I joined our friends the Andersons to a walk at Barefoot park! They had loads of fun, and an excellent way to beat the heat!
