Sew What!

So when my mother in law came out to help with Aaron when he was born she and I went out to buy a sewing machine. I was a little excited to be able to lean from friends around here who sew a ton. But with a new baby things got hard, and it became my one and only outlet. Other than learning from friends I have been teaching myself. I will get help from friends and ask questions, but for the most part I will see stuff, and youtube it and figure it out. I like being creative so I hardly ever really follow the rules, until I get lost. Ha ha. And that was the case with my latest quilt. It look easy peasy. It has been such hard work. I have undone the seams so many times and resewn. This project has kept me from starting others. I do love the way it turned out, but so glad to start another!!!

This quitl about was so darn cute! I loved the way it turned out. Though I was less experienced I still loved it. I only wish I could make tons of this exact quilt to give to others. I hate that the quality of the picture is not good. I seriously fell in love with it, and in turn with quilting! LOL.

Love the quilts, especially the zig zag one. Very impressive.

Also impressive was the pirate party. Very cute. I tried to get Ellie to have a pirate pirate this year (since she's wearing an eye patch), but she wouldn't go for it.
