16 wonderful months

Lo is 16 months old.

I am in awe with his ability to communicate. Each day he does something new, and is expressing his likes and dislikes. we have had a couple of meltdowns, and as much as i want to give in i understand it is best that i don't. he is big for his age, which makes both daddy and i smile. we hope it will contiune, but have a feeling it will not last. afterall both dad and i are not the tallest. there is hope on my side of the family, i do have uncles and silbings that are tall.  we will see. but for now we delight in the fact that he is tall for his age.

Lo is an explorer, and has no fear. which we know is good and bad. he loves people, and is not afraid to approach anyone to try and get what he wants. he knows that Giving people a big smile will sometimes result in candy, pretzels, apples, and other free stuff. he knows dad is a softie, but so is mama sometimes. trains, cars, balls, and phones are some of his favorite things to play with. this summer we have been going to the pool and he loves playing in the water. yogurt, oatmeal, pancakes, strawberries, peaches, grapes, string cheese, beans, mac and cheese, and grilled cheese are some of his favorite food at this time. Animals bright a big cheesy grin on his face. we are enjoying every minute with this little guy. he is a handful, but is loveable, kissable, adorable and makes me happy.  Now i am looking forward to going back to the town lo was born, we will be there in a couple of weeks for the weekend. so manny sweet memories there.
