February is gone...

So sad I only posted once in February! Here is a long one, to help me catch up!

The month of February proved to be busy! As our count down turns from months to weeks and eventually will be days, our days are filled with things to do! In all the chaos of getting things together for the move, it is nice to stop and enjoy the things that are happening in our town! One of the perks of living in this area has been that during the holidays they go all out! There is always something to do in not in our town then in DC! Although I will not miss the hoards of tourists that invade our city during the spring, summer, and even fall, I will miss the celebrations! Having said that, one of the things I look forward to the most is experiencing the new culture and celebrations!

Top 10 of February!

1.
I had gone to Micheal's to look for some Valentine decorations, after going into the kitchen to make Logan a bottle I come back to find him playing with these hearts. I ended up not using them, so he got to keep them. (yes I did leave my child on the couch, but he knows how to get down on his own!)

Okay he only fell asleep holding the one in his hand, I couldn't help myself!

2.

We had some friends over to watch the Superbowl! Logan and I were going for the Steeler's! So sad that they lost the game. It was a fun night filled with games, food, and great company! (We missed the Simmons)

My sister in law had posted a cute picture of some football chocolate covered strawberries! They do not look as good as the ones in the picture, but they were delicious! Big hit at the party. I used some of them as toppers to my cupcakes!

3.

Logan loves baths! Needed a picture of him taking one!

4.

This year we were lucky enough to have my friend Becca babysit for us so that Mike and I could enjoy a lovely dinner! We celebrated Valentines Day on Saturday and headed to the Chart House located at the Alexandria Waterfront! So much fun! I baked these lovely cupcakes and gave them to some friends!

On the actual day, I made our traditional Valentines Day meal! We had herb encrusted rack of lamb, par boiled fingerling potatoes, and Parmesan roasted asparagus!!

5.

We enjoyed the Presidents Day festivities! Hooray for 3 day weekends! There was a cool parade! It was a bit cold, and there were was rain in the forecast, but we lucked out and did not get rained on!

There was a war reenactment in Fort Ward Park! Logan had so much fun, he would giggle every time there was a cannon shot!

6.

So I walked into a fabric store out of curiosity! I found some fabric and I wanted to buy it. Then I figured I need to get thread, and needles. I realized I also needed some scissors. As the things piled on into my cart, I figured what the heck, I might as well get a sewing machine. Mike looks at me and tell me, "What are you doing? You don't even know how to sew a button!?!"

7.

My dear friend Pamela visits DC! It had been years!

8.

Logan has a little girl friend! Her name is Makenzie, and they are a hoot together! She can spot him across the chapel at church, and will call out to him! He let's her hold his hand! She hugs hims and likes to be close to him! He is protective of her during play groups when others are around! They are complete opposites! It is fun seeing them play together, and it will be sad when we move!

9.

And since I had not posted it here yet our move date to Germany is April 10! I have been trying to listen to German as much as I can! While driving in the car, most days I will have this playing in the car. I do understand a little now, by little i mean little!

10.

Logan 10 months old!

We are excited to hear you are going to Germany. Do you know where yet? We have family in Widen Germany, near Munich I think. It is great to see your family growing, and soory about your Steelers.
