A Victorious Week!

This weeks has been full of accomplishments! I, Janie, has finally stepped up to the plate! I want to look good, and feel good too! There has been a small victory as I took a step in the right direction!

I was able to keep motivated, and ended up working out 6 of the last 7 days!

Now ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you its been at least, 10 years since I last worked my body like this! It had to be done. In all honesty, I was very unhappy. Yes, I know I had a baby, but in short, I needed a change of lifestyle. It has helped brighten my mood! There is a new sense of energy around me this past week. There were days as I first started off, that I wanted to crawl down a hole and quit! The soreness that follows the first days of working out didn't help, either. Oh the joy, when I could move my limbs without pain! But the biggest reward is that I did it!

The goal: to lose 20-25 lbs! ( this week I lost 3 lbs) It's motivated me a bit more!

As I have that in mind, my other thought turns to a healthy diet! There has been small, well more of ity-bitty steps! My biggest weakness, Sweets! With all the diets out there, I knew this would be the biggest challenge! I tried a vegetarian diet for just one day. The natural sugars in fruit helped to easy the sugar craving a bit. Having grown up hispanic and Texan, there needs to be meat in my meals at least every other day. Earlier in the week I had attended a recipe group, where I was in luck to 1. talk to a good friend who is a nutritionist, and 2) taste a smoothie that was healthy and delicious! It had spinach, berries, 100% fruit juice, yogurt. It doesn't sound great, but the taste was sweet! Lo and I didn't notice the spinach much, Mike on the other hand as the veggie hit his lips, he pursed his lips and demanded to know what was in it!

Congrats friend! I know you can do it. I have officially lost 25lbs since November...long story as to why but we can catch up when I am in DC in 3 weeks.

good for you! and one thing that helped me too is "the bodybugg", it helped me to be conscious of what I put in my mouth every meal! And 3 lbs in one week, you go girl

that's awesome. I definitely need to get motivated and do something. It always feels good afterwards (maybe not immediately) but for some reason I always procrastinate working out.
