Update!

A long overdue update:

Spent almost a whole month in Cali with Mikes family. Logan and I headed to Utah and then drove up to Idaho for a fun filled week up near Yellowstone. We enjoyed hanging out with Mike's 2 brothers Chris and Rob and their wonderful family! We had so much fun. Logan got to meet all of his cousins! I just loved to see them all want to hold him and make him smile. We saw the Old faithful as well as some stink pots. There were many animals! Tons of fun.

When we got back to Cali from Yellowstone Logan and I were finally reunited with Mike. It was a long 3 weeks without him. It took Logan a little bit to remember Mike was his daddy. A couple of days later and we were off again on another plan to Texas!

My family the Davila's and the Johnsen's were so excited to see and meet Logan! My mother spoiled him rotten the whole two weeks we were there. We took a road trip to San Antonio and the following day we went tubing down the Comal river! It was nice to hang out with my siblings. There were so many people I had said I would hang out with but with all that happened I did not. I hope to see them the next time around.

On another note after years of no contact with my father he showed up. He wanted to meet Logan and he did. There were too many emotions and it was a very weird experience. I thank my Heavenly Father for his strength to help me deal with all of this as well as I could. It also made me realize all the blessings and the wonderful people he placed in my path. I have been surrounded with so much love and a wonderful sudo father that have been there to be in my life. And although my own father has missed some wonderful times in my life, I hope that one day things will get better. He made a step in the right direction, and I did not block it. I am glad that my son has met his grandfather. But it will be baby steps from my part.

We made it to Virginia! We found a place to live, in our old ward, and bought a car. We were so blessed to have wonderful friends that we could turn to until we got things sorted out! Thanks Rich Luz and Cannan for sharing your wonderful home and giving us a place to stay until we moved in into our own place. And Thanks to Josh, Brandie, and Izzie for allowing us to use your car until we bought our own.

Logan is growing and getting so much louder. I have very slowly started to give him a little bit of solids and he is eating it up! In Texas he started to roll over! He loves to smile, and hang out with his daddy! He loves TV. Logan is 4 months now and getting so much bigger! Remeber all that wonderful hair he had when he was born. It is all gone now. So much is falling out. ;(

Mike is still working on his paper due mid september. He is working and enjoying his new car and is excited to use the amenities that come with living here (indoor golfing range, indoor/outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, putting green...). He loves that he does not have to take a bus anymore. There is a shuttle that takes him to the metro.

So good to hear from you. Glad you made it back safely. It sounds like Logan is a growing boy.
