So I know I am totally slacking when it comes to writing on our blog, but to be honest the month of February was filled with things to do.
As many of you know I love to host, and the month of Feb. did not fall short of things to do.
We had a Superbowl party, and YES the STEELERS WON!!! We had some friends over and tons of food.

My friend Luz and I decided to give my Grandma Eva's Tamale recipe a try. After 4 hours of intense labor we were able to enjoy the fruits of our labor. They were real yummy. Both Luz and I thought that it would take us a couple of weekends to get the recipe correct but we hit the jackpot with the first try!!! Of course, they will never be close enough to her recipe after all that is over half of a century worth of perfecting her recipe.
For Valentines Day we went out to breakfast. Mike got me some Betsy Johnson shoes! For dinner I made a rack of Lamb with broiled potatoes, and Asparagus. Mike then took me to see Confessions of a Shopaholic.
My friend Brandie had a bifday so we decided to have some friends over for some cake and ice cream one Sunday evening. We finished the night off playing Imagine If a game we got for Christmas from our friends Jon and Jocelyn. It was so much fun, but we decided that in order to have a chance at winning the game you must really know the people you are playing with.
My beautiful and lovely sister-in-law Amanda came for a visit this past week. It was great to have family close by. I was really sad to see her leave. She did have a couple of interviews so we are hoping she can get a job out here!!! She loves to make cupcakes, so we decided to make some for the party.

This past weekend I threw a party for Mike. It was a British Theme Party in lue of his acceptance into Oxford. I am extremely proud of him for his accomplishment. We had friends over for food, fun, and games.

All in all Feb was a great month filled with friends, and laughter.
Update:
Janie: In school, I finished my History class. (This was the third time I took this class. The other two times were at Texas State University) I Aced the class. Yahoo. I am completely addicted to Heroes, and am so thrilled Twilight will be on video soon. I quit my job, and am starting another today. I have failed in my new year's resolutions. I have failed to close 6 jars, spilling two in the fridge.
Mike: Is working out everyday at the gym. Work is work and he is hoping to have co workers over to the house. He will be doing softball again this spring, and is excited to go out and have some fun. He is eagerly waiting to hear which college in Oxford he got into.

Janie you are the BEST HOSTESS! Great food, great fun. Loved the shoes! I can't wait to see them at church sometime.
Janie, holy crud it has been a long time since we have seen you guys. Congratulations to Mike, Oxford while it is a cold blustery place is really cool, and so much history in that tiny little town let alone the rest of the country. That is really cool!
We need to get together and do a date night, or have you guys over for dinner down here.
Give me a call or send me an email.
