So I was thinking that since no Bowerbanks and only one Davila have visited our mansion (well, it's a one-bedroom apartment) I'd give a virtual tour (kind of like Cribs but without the cars). We'll see if by the end of the post if I can show the bedroom, I have to get the clothes off the floor, which is a pretty big task as those who have lived with me know.

I cleaned the living room and kitchen today, which is normal. No matter what Janie says I clean just as much as her and we have established that I am the best Vacuumer. I think she is employing the same trick my mom played on me to vacuum when I was little. If you tell me I'm good at something I'll keep on doing it...
Here is the Crib...

Every Crib episode they show the fridge...

As you can see above, I made up for not smashing the cake in her face at the Wedding Reception.

As you can see here we have a couch and chair from the infamous Value City Furniture. I am not a huge fan of the chair and I'm definitely missing my man chair. Every once in a while I go to a store and just sit in the leather lazy-boy waiting for the day when I get one.
I built the coffee table, book shelf, table, and desk. Well, IKEA made the first two and World Market the table, but I did put them together and I kind of built the desk. The first table that we bought was damaged but they said to keep the legs, so instead of buying a desk we went to Home Depot and bought a slab of wood, screws, stain, and sandpaper. We spent about $50, which would have been enough to buy a desk at IKEA, but I wanted to build it with my own bare hands.
After drilling into Janie's finger, splitting the wood of one of the legs, putting numerous gashes into the wood, and going through three types of nails and screws, wal lah! A crappy desk! We'll probably buy one in the next few months.
I've realized that when you have no kids and don't worry about "Family Dinner Time" we spend most of our time eating in front of the TV. It's a Vizio from Costco and it's big enough...for now.
Here is the kitchen. I spend more time here than you might think. I make a mean Meatloaf, beans, and Orange Julius. I also make a good steak (Story of the firefighters visit due to my smokin' steak in another blog).

Well, that's all for now If you want to see the rest of the house you'll just have to visit.
In other top news for the month of March:
1. Passed the Foreign Service Written Test. Scheduled for the Oral in May.
2. Celebrated a birthday in March.
3. Celebrated our anniversary and now I have to go to an 18th Century English Dancing Ball.
As you can see above, I made up for not smashing the cake in her face at the Wedding Reception.
4. Playing indoor soccer. The team is 2-1 and I have yet to pull my hamstring.
5. Janie went running once last week.
6. Easter Bunny came.
7. Went salsa dancing and learned to shake my ding-a-ling.
8. Went to Luciano Emilio's house for a prayer meeting. Good experience, good people.
9. Both of our NCAA brackets are busted.
10. Started Fantasy Baseball, hoping for a good 162 game season without too much nagging about watching too many baseball games.
11. Janie made her first pie in her $30 pie pan. It better be the first of many.
To a good April...

I like the virtual tour! What a fun idea. Sounds like ya'll are having fun. Hm, I might have to copy the cake smashing idea since I didn't really get a chance to with Matt.
I'm glad another family member has a blog! Cory Higginbotham
