Piles of Boxes!

The reasons I hate to move:

1: There is a mess in the house up until the day you move.

2: Once something is packed, it is very difficult if it is needed before you move.

3: Caring the boxes is a pain! (literately speaking)

4: Unpacking!!!!!!!!!

This past week other than going to class, all that it seems I do is pack. I was very organized at first, but then I got really tired of packing. Oh well this does give me an opportunity to throw stuff away. We are moving, but still living in Alexandria. Saturday will be a busy day. The one thing that I have really enjoyed is the fact that since I have packed most of the cooking pan, among other things, I can't cook. So we have been having take out. I really should have thought things through better.( Yeah Right! Ha Ha)

updates:

School is sucking the life out of me right now, but as of today only 4 more days! The down side to that two of those day are days of tests!
Mikes softball team has made it to the playoffs. The tournament begins tomorrow! The down side, he wont be able to play because of the move. If the team wins on Saturday, then the tournament continues on Monday...Good Luck!
I still don't have a job. With school, I had not been seriously looking for a job. Once i am done with this class I will look for a part-time job.

Regency Ball at Gabsy Tavern In Alexandria,Va
A while back I had blogged about a ball Mike and I went to.( Mike's Anniversary gift to me, tickets to a grand ball and dance classes to go along in preparation for the ball.) I got the pictures. Due to the lack of time, it was impossible to get a costume so we just dressed up really nice.
Yeah Baby a limo! Woohoo!
Yeah actually this was my charriot to the ball! Betsy- Mikes classic
Honda Accord!

It was hot, so Mike bought me a really pretty fan!

The rule was that you were to dance with anyone who asked.

This gentleman and I dance a couple.

One of the best gifts I have ever gotten!

He hates this stuff, but knows how much I love Jane Austin books!

Mike had originally thought it was their Jane Austin ball, but it was the Regency Ball.

It was fun going to the dance classes, and learning how to dance these dances.

LADY LUCK IS ON MY SIDE

As stated in the previous blog we went to the Washington Golf store on Saturday. Well while there I entered my name in some raffle they were having. Yesterday evening while watching television my phone rings. Apparently they drew my name from the many that they had and I had just won 2 Tickets for the movie Premier of Batman: The Dark Night. Yey! I have never won a drawing! Woohoo! The first movie was great, but I had not been planning on seeing the second. Although, I am happy to see the last movie Heath Ledger made.

The theater we are going to seats up to 900 people. All I hope is that we do not have to wait in a long line.
My hope is high since it is a Wednesday! Oh well, I will soon find out.

Day of Sports!

This past Saturday was filled with sports activities. The day began bright and early. Mike woke me up, as he was kissing me good bye. He was getting ready to leave for his softball game. Usually I would just go back to sleep, but I told him if he gave me a couple of minutes I would go with him and be a supportive wife. Little did I know it was a double hitter, and how hot it would get. They won the first game lost the second. After a nap and shower, Mike and I planned on going to the Spy Museum in D.C.

There are a couple of videos trying out our new drivers!

We made a quick stop at Washington golf store where they were having a tent sale. Mike bought a new Calloway driver, and I got a Homna driver. While we were paying we both decided to skip the Spy museum and go to the driving range to try out our new driver.

The New Nationals Ball park.

Hispanic Heritage Night!

It was very hot, so we went back home and took another shower and got ready to go to the Nationals game. I was very excited because they were playing the Houston Astros! It was the first time this year that I got to see my team play. It was Hispanic heritage night at the game so they had salsa music as well as many clips from famous Hispanics who have done great things in baseball. It was a close game throughout and The ASTROS WON!!!! After the game they were showing a movie, "The Sandlot", great movie. We would have stayed but we were so tired, all we wanted to do was get home and go to sleep.

Mike with his Big Chew!!

As we were driving home from the game Mike said,

"This is my perfect kind of day, full of sports!"

Let's go Astros, Let's Go!!!

4th of July

Mike and I had a great 4th of July. We woke up early and went to help make pancakes and eggs for the churches 4th of July breakfast. Afterwards Mike played kickball and softball with the guys. I watch from the bench! He was so excited, when he hit a home run and had a great glove less catch.

Later that day we went to hang out with our friends Kim, Don, Megan, and Steve. I made some finger licking ribs. We played games, and just hung out. Megan and Steve made some cookies which were later dubbed "Steve's Nipple Cookies." It was the joke of the night as the boys ate the cookies and made jokes! We watched the movie Caddyshack. I had a hard time finding the humor in it, but eventually I did.

In other news, I started my chemistry class. I am not loving it. The class is crammed into only 4 weeks! This means a test every weeks and tons of homework. I am going to class everyday of the week and tons of homework everyday. Oh well, the sooner I am done with this the better! So much for summer fun....
